Success Story – July – Josephine Adkins
Josephine Adkins was admitted to Jolley Acres due to a UTI and several falls. Upon admission, Mrs. Adkins was required extensive assistance for all daily living tasks and transferring from the bed to the wheelchair.
After several weeks of intense therapy, Mrs. Adkins was able to increase her strength to improve with her bed mobility to moderate assistance with our therapy and nursing staff. After weeks of hands-on therapy, Ms. Adkins is able to transfer with a sliding board and self-propel her wheelchair without assistance. Ms. Adkins can stand at the parallel bars with minimal assistance for safety, where she enjoys participating with group sessions with other rehab patients.
Ms. Adkins states “I’m very thankful to have a great group of therapists pushing me to get back on my feet!”
